Day 2: 5-Course New England Infused Italian Tasting Series

Opened in October of 2021, this East Cambridge eatery serves what Time Out calls “the best Italian food outside the North End.” Eater and Infatuation agree, putting Geppetto on their 2023 lists of “Best Italian in Boston.” Chef/Owner Will Gilson grew up on his family farm, the Herb Lyceum in Groton, and graduated from Johnson & Wales’ esteemed culinary program. He's since honed his skills in some of New England’s most prestigious restaurants, such as Oleana and Garden at the Cellar. In 2012, he opened Puritan & Co., which soon became one of Cambridge’s most popular restaurants. At Geppetto, he serves what Boston Magazine calls “elevated (but not fancy-pants) Italian cookery from across the Boot,” which he “burnishes with the farm-sourced New England ingredients and New American sensibility for which [he] is known.” That means dishes like fried mozzarella, fritto misto, pumpkin cappelletti with brown butter, pepitas, and sage, cod cioppino, pork Milanese saltimbocca, and superb desserts from Brian Mercury, one of the city’s most acclaimed pastry chefs, like tiramisu with miso or gelato flavored with Fiori di Sicilia. For lovers of Italian food—and that would be everyone, yes?—Geppetto is a real destination!

Raised in Groton and a graduate of Johnson and Wales, Chef Will Gilson honed his skills at some of the area's best restaurants (Oleana and Garden at the Cellar) and is a mentee of renowned Chef Charles Draghi. His previous restaurant, Puritan & Company, was named one of Bon Appetit’s “50 Best New Restaurants”, as well as a James Beard “Best New Restaurant” Semi-Finalist. He is also the owner of The Lexington and Cafe Beatrice.

Do I have to bring printed tickets to the event?
No tickets are needed.
What does the ticket price cover?
The ticket price covers the full cost of the meal.
What dietary restrictions/food allergies can be accommodated at this event?
At this event we will be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions and food allergies. Just make sure to update your dietary restrictions within your Account Info before or after you purchase tickets, or email us at [email protected] after you purchase tickets to let us know what your allergies/restrictions are so we can give the chef a heads up.
Do guests need to be of a certain age to attend this event?
Yes. All attendees must be 21+ to gain entry.
Does this restaurant allow BYOB?
No. This restaurant is a non-BYO establishment. Outside alcohol will not be permitted at this event.
What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
Tickets to our events are non-refundable. However, for emergency requests, we may allow members to transfer their tickets to friends, provided the guest ticket surcharge of $25 is paid when transferring a member ticket to a non-member. All ticket transfer requests (as well as the guest ticket surcharge) must be sent to us prior to the event. Any guests who have not paid the guest ticket surcharge will not be allowed entry.

Can I bring guests/non-members to this event?
Yep! For this event, guest tickets are $90 + tax & tip, and you can bring up to 3 guests. Please note, guests are not allowed to attend unaccompanied by a member.
What parking information has the restaurant provided for this event?
According to the restaurant, general street parking is available. Validated parking is also available through a nearby garage (211 Water St) for a flat rate of $10, but please communicate with onsite restaurant staff about what proof is needed to claim that validated rate.
