Opened in February of 2023, this charming eatery in Park Hill was named the “Best French Restaurant” award winner by Westword and has appeared on Eater’s list of “Essential Denver Restaurants.” Chef/Owner Tim Kukilinski began his career in the culinary program at Johnson & Wales and earned his stripes working with James Beard award-winning Chef Jennifer Jasinski at Denver’s celebrated Rioja restaurant. (Chef Jasinski is a co-owner of Bistro Vendôme.) The menu that diners encounter here includes all the great French dishes like escargots, country pâté, onion soup, raclette, coq au vin, and steak frites, done to a fine turn, and finishing up with more classics like chocolate soufflé and crème brulée for dessert. “Bistro Vendôme checks all the boxes for what French restaurants have come to represent…It feels like a secret you discovered while traveling,” raves Westword. We are all for exploring the cuisines of the world, but there comes a time as well to return to home base, which, for so many people who appreciate great food, is French cuisine.
