About

Opened in 2020, this esteemed eatery in Brookline’s Washington Square has appeared on a number of “Best Of” Lists, including Infatuation’s “Best Meals in Boston” (2020) and both Boston Magazine’s and Time Out’s “Best Seafood Restaurants” Lists of 2023. Executive Chef Jamie Kembrey was born and raised in Rome, New York, but has been an owner/chef of three restaurants in South Korea. At Ivory Pearl, his unfussy cooking makes optimal use of the best ingredients from New England and around the world. The menu is chock full of special fish entrees like snow crab noodles, K-BBQ salmon collar and belly, and tuna steak frites, but for landlubbers who opt for meat, poultry, or vegetarian dishes, there are delicious options like rabbit meatballs, legs & eggs (fried chicken drumsticks with paddlefish caviar), and ponzu mushrooms. “No one does seafood quite like Ivory Pearl,” raves Time Out. “Drawing upon Asian influences, this place knows how to wow, serving jaw-dropping dishes.”
