Day 1: 5-Course Italian Locavore Tasting Series

This convivial spot is tucked into the Kimpton Tryon Park, Charlotte’s most sophisticated boutique hotel, and has become a magnet for Italian food lovers. Though granted, that's just about everyone, yes? Here, in a handsome space that features high ceilings, unique hanging light fixtures, and warm wood finishes, you will find a modern take on old favorites like veal saltimbocca (but served with apricot and fig marmalade) or whipped ricotta (but served with lavender honey). Executive Chef Farid Ahmed was born in Rochefort along the shores of southwestern France and graduated from Atlanta’s Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts with honors in 2007. That same year, he began working as an extern at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, NC, where he quickly earned the title of sous chef at the resort’s Forbes four-diamond 1895 Grille. He's now leading the team to success at Angeline's, with recent spots on Charlotte Mag's 2024 "Best Italian" List and Axios' "Best Charlotte Restaurants" List. We're excited to visit!

Executive Chef

Born in France, Chef Farid Ahmed entered the industry at 15 through various establishments, including Darden Restaurants and the Champps restaurant chain. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts with honors, he worked at Pinehurst Resort, where he earned the title of sous chef at Forbes four-diamond 1895 Grille. The former exec chef at the Sea Pines Resort, he now oversees Angeline’s and Merchant & Trade.

No. This restaurant is a non-BYO establishment. Outside alcohol will not be permitted at this event.
What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to [email protected].
