5-Course Avant-American Tasting Event
Opened in 2018 in the iconic LINE Hotel, this lakeside eatery created by Top Chef 10 Winner Kirsten Kish has maintained its standards, landing on Eater’s 2024 Lists of “Best in Downtown Austin” and “10 Destination-Worthy Restaurants.” Hosting Executive Chef Alejandro Munoz, an Austin native who been with Arlo Grey from the beginning, is working with a menu that digs deeply into the bountiful ingredients of Central Texas. Here, you will find dishes like grilled Texas beets with whipped yogurt, golden raisins and aji relish, and pomegranate molasses, bucatini with toasted corn sauce and black truffle, rabbit and ricotta dumplings, olive oil poached tilefish, brick half chicken with sweet pepper puree, and fabulous desserts like toasted sourdough ice cream and hazelnut mille feuille, all served up in a stunning setting. Eater says that Arlo Grey “makes use of [founding Chef Kish's] classical French and Italian training, weaving in techniques and flavors from [the Midwest], and introducing elements from her Korean heritage. The result — with the help of Exec Chef Alejandro Munoz — is an international menu that’s multifaceted without feeling muddled.” We can’t wait to visit here and hope that you can join us!

Executive Chef
Born and raised in Austin, Chef Alejandro Munoz found his love of cooking at home with his mother and aunts, making tamales at just 6 years old. A graduate of Texas Culinary Academy, he honed his craft in Dallas under Dean Fearing of Fearings Restaurant before returning to his hometown to work at Counter 357 and Apis Restaurant & Apiary.

- What must I bring to the event?
- Please make sure to bring a government-issued photo ID.
- What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
- Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to [email protected].
- Is there any important parking-related info I need to be aware of?
- Yes! This restaurant is located within the LINE hotel and, as such, guests who wish to park on-site will need to adhere to the hotel’s valet-only parking policy at their standard rate of $10/car. Self-parking will not be permitted on-site.
