Brasserie Brixton
5-Course Nouveau French Tasting Event
Opened in 2020 in the Cole neighborhood, this French eatery is both great fun and very smart about food, which explains its appearance on Infatuation’s 2024 List of “Best Restaurants in Denver.” Chef Nicholas Dalton, who previously cooked at acclaimed restaurants like Mercantile Dining & Provision, Le Bilboquet, and Via Perla, has constructed a menu that features all the beloved French classics—onion soup, steak frites, roast chicken — but also makes room for such dishes as wontons made with sausage, wrapped in a crispy fried shell, and drizzled with scallion sauce and shishitos with fish sauce caramel. Leave room also for luscious desserts like the classic pots de crème, ricotta doughnuts with miso caramel, and cheesecake with burnt honey. “A neighborhood restaurant par excellence,” says the Michelin Guide, while Condé Nast Traveler frames Brasserie Brixton as “an eclectic homage to the bistros of Montreal and wine bars of Paris.” Sounds pretty darn good to our ears, and we look forward to chatting with Chef Dalton about his inventive food ideas.
