Day 3: 5-Course Elevated Afro-European Tasting Series
A veteran on the volatile restaurant scene, having pleased diners since 2015, this whimsical café and bistro in Inman Park is still as vibrant as ever, having just made Eater’s 2024 List of “Hottest in Atlanta.” Chef/Owner Demetrius Brown, featured by StarChefs, grew up mostly in Providence, Rhode Island, where he graduated from Johnson & Wales’ esteemed culinary program. He is the chef/owner of Heritage Supper Club, a pop-up that serves 7- and 8-course tasting menus designed to highlight and elevate the food of the African diaspora. His global vision is similarly at work at Bread & Butterfly, with dishes like tasso (grilled lamb belly with plantains), escovitch (trout with creole sauce and watercress), and poulet nan sous (chicken with red beans, peppers, scotch bonnet, and herbs). “A sunny slice of Paris,” says Atlanta Magazine, while Bon Appetit notes that “[t]he small, airy space is picture-perfect: jade-tiled walls, stamped metal ceiling, and handsome leather-upholstered bar stools.” In other words, a getaway that we are truly looking forward to!

Raised in Rhode Island (with stints in Georgia in childhood), Chef Demetrius Brown attended culinary school at Johnson & Wales University. The Chef/Owner of Heritage Supper Club. a pop-up restaurant that aims to highlight and elevate the food of the African diaspora, he is the new owner of Bread & Butterfly. He has also been featured by StarChefs Magazine.

- Yep! For this event, guest tickets are $90 + tax & tip, and you can bring up to 3 guests. Please note, guests are not allowed to attend unaccompanied by a member.
- What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
- Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to support@tastingcollective.com.
