Day 1: 5-Course Palate-Bending Pleasures Tasting Series

Opened way back in 2015, this rare survivor on today’s volatile restaurant scene continues to garner accolades, earning a place on Infatuation’s Lists of “13 Best in Queen Anne” and “Best Fancy Restaurants in Seattle.” Chef/Owner Maximillian Petty made the shortlist for James Beard’s “Rising Star Chef” Award in 2016, 2017, and 2018, was on Zagat's list of “30 Under 30” and was named an Eater “Young Gun” Semi-Finalist. In 2020, he was also a StarChefs Seattle Rising Stars Award-Winner. Here, in an intimate and stylish setting, he is offering a menu that features New American dishes created with imaginative ingredients, such as sticky lamb ribs with nuoc cham glaze, couscous, fermented carrots, mint, labneh, and pomegranate, Spanish octopus, ‘nduja and Dungeness crab cassoulet, cauliflower “chilaquiles” with Manchego, lima crema, and jalapeno honey hot sauce, and desserts like chocolate flan and yuzu posset. Condé Nast Traveler salutes the “charming dining room…the vibe refreshingly romantic…the food modern, adventurous.” We’re excited to visit here and chat with Chef Petty about the secrets of achieving long-term success in the restaurant business.

Maximillian Petty

Chef/Owner

Born and raised in Port Angeles, WA, Chef Maximillian Petty’s culinary career began in the drive-thru window of his uncle’s Taco Time when he was just a young teen. After helping his sister open a restaurant during high school, he moved to DC, where he honed his craft at 2-Michelin-Starred minibar and Zaytinya. He is a 3-Time James Beard’s “Rising Star Chef” Semi-Finalist, a former Eater “Young Gun” Semi-Finalist, and a 2020 StarChefs Seattle Rising Stars Award-Winner.

Do guests need to be of a certain age to attend this event?
Yes. All attendees must be 21+ to gain entry.
Does this restaurant allow BYOB?
No. This restaurant is a non-BYO establishment. Outside alcohol will not be permitted at this event.
What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to support@tastingcollective.com.
What dietary restrictions/food allergies can be accommodated at this event?
Due to the large-format nature of our events, restaurants are not able to accommodate all dietary restrictions/food allergies or make any menu adjustments based on food preferences (e.g distaste for specific ingredients/flavor profiles).
