Day 1: 5-Course Local Meets Global Tasting Series
If ever there were a good reason to cross the border into the Evergreen State, this Vancouver eatery on Main Street (opened in 2018) is it. Chef Miguel Sosa has created a distinctive eatery that merited a place on Eater’s 2023 List of “Best Restaurants in Vancouver.” Chef Sosa, who was born and raised in Mexico, began his culinary career at Rosewood, a Michelin-Starred fine dining establishment. Next came a stint as sous chef at award-winning Harry Caray’s Restaurant in Chicago. After calling the Windy City home for 15 years, he and his family relocated to Vancouver, where he took on the role of Executive Chef at Hall Street Grill and then proceeded to open Rose & Thorn at Ilani Casino. At Elements, he calls upon his mastery of classic French techniques to create sauces with Mexican-inspired influences he learned from his mother and grandmother. The rotating menu features dishes like Spanish octopus a la plancha with harissa and avocado mousse to a porcini-dusted Kurobuta bone-in pork chop in a port beurre noisette with sweet potato mousseline. In other words, food to remember!

Born and raised in Mexico, Chef Miguel Sosa moved to Chicago at 16. Beginning his career at Michelin-starred Rosewood (under Chef Tino Almaraz), he went on to cook at award-winning Harry Caray’s Restaurant before relocating to Vancouver, WA, where he became Executive Chef at Hall Street Grill and opened Rose & Thorn. Elements is his second restaurant.

- Yep! For this event, guest tickets are $85 + tax & tip, and you can bring up to 3 guests. Please note, guests are not allowed to attend unaccompanied by a member.
- What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
- Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to [email protected].
