Entree BYOB
DAY 1: 5-Course Inventive American Dinner Series
Chef Kevin Addis has made quite a name for himself on the Philadelphia food scene. He recently opened Mari BYO, an Italian seafood restaurant in Queens Village, but Entrée BYOB, which he launched in 2013, is still going strong. And why not? Its creative and balanced menu avoids pretension and features traditional and modern dishes that project integrity. Chef Addis, a Philly native, returned to his hometown after years working at restaurants in Providence, Rhode Island and Boston. At Entrée BYOB, he is turning out classic dishes, often Italian-influenced, like chicken saltimbocca, frutti di mare, fried calamari, and bucatini. Italy even shows up on his grilled ribeye, topped with gorgonzola butter. Desserts might be an ethereal limoncello mascarpone cake, a Nutella cannoli, or the classic affogato. It’s all good—and explains why Philly Bite named Entrée BYO to its list of Top 10 BYOBs in the city.
About the Host:

Kevin Addis
Executive Chef/Owner
A Main Line native, Chef Addis attended culinary school at Johnson & Wales in Providence. He then spent a few years cutting his teeth in Providence's top restaurants, before returning to Philly to serve as Exec Chef of the now-defunct Portofino. In 2009, he relocated to Boston to take over a branch of the city's iconic Daily Catch restaurant. 4 successful years later, he found himself missing home, so he moved back to South Philly and opened Entree BYOB.
