Glo Noodle House

5-Course Playful Japanese Tasting Event

Opened in March of 2022, this Japanese eatery in West Highland was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and named to Westword’s 2023 List of “100 Best Denver Restaurants.” Chef/Co-Owner Chris Teigland, who previously cooked at Blackbelly, Hogsalt, and Michelin-Starred Alinea, named Glo Noodle House for his mother, Gloria, a.k.a. Glo, a pastry chef who put Chris to work in the kitchen as a kid. When she recognized his love for Asian food, she bought him a wok to practice the dishes he was learning about in Asian cookbooks. Now, Chef Teigland is delighting diners with such inventions as skewers of marinated tofu skewer served with a miso peach jam and an almond and sesame candy crumble, enoki mushroom tempura with yuzu aioli, and miso bacon ramen with crispy shallots. (Yummy desserts too, like coconut rice pudding with bruleed sugar, passionfruit coulis, and cucumber granita, or the whipped yuzu cheesecake with almond crumble.) In its review right after Glo’s opening, Denver Post wrote, “It’s only April, but Glo Noodle House is vying for 2022’s best new restaurant.” We’re excited to visit here and to hear from Chef Teigland about his interesting food ideas. Join us!
