Haerfest

Day 2: 5-Course Seasonal Sophistication Tasting Series

Opened this past April, this exceptional eatery in the Fremont neighborhood immediately snagged Seattle Magazine’s “Best New Restaurant” award and was named to Forbes’ List of “Best Eating Around Seattle.” Haerfest is the latest creation from General Harvest, the Award-Winning restaurant group founded by Chef Brian Clevenger that includes Vendemmia, Raccolto, Haymaker, G.H. Pasta & Pizza, and East Anchor Seafood. At Haerfest, whose name means “autumn” and is the origin of the word “harvest,” Chef de Cuisine Jeff Potts, who is presiding over our event, is turning out dishes like coffee roasted beets with dill, pistachio, and citrus, charred carrots with hot honey and crème fraiche, gorgeous pasta like cavatelli with pork jowl and chili and gemelli with butternut, pumpkin seed, and fontina, and proteins like grilled scallops with sunchokes and satsuma and grilled half chicken with Swiss chard and pistachio. It’s all prepared with the freshest locally and sustainably harvested produce and seafood. In other words, it checks all the boxes, so we are excited to visit. See you there!
