Lure Fishbar
5-Course Oceanic Opulence Tasting Event
Opened in 2021 in River North, this seafood-forward eatery was named to USA Today’s List of “10 Best in Chicago” and Time Out’s “Best Seafood in Chicago” List. Executive Chef Neptali Mendoza learned her lessons well from mentor Josh Capon, the executive chef at New York City’s Lure Fishbar and a guest judge on Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay. In addition to raw bar delights, Chef Mendoza is offering up fabulous sushi, sashimi, and hand rolls, plus miso broiled salmon, sea urchin bucatini, and, for the landlubbers among us, first-rate beef and poultry dishes. “An expansive menu of coastal fare in a room filled with nautical accents, including warm wooden paneling, hanging globe lights and model ships on the walls,” says Time Out, while Chicago Food Magazine says, “Lure can transport you to the harbors of New England or the fish markets of Japan, all in one sitting.” Well, doesn’t that sound nice? See you there!
