Maie Day
Day 2: 5-Course Inventive Chophouse Tasting Series
Opened in 2022, this corking good chophouse inside the stylish South Congress Hotel has been named to three 2024 “Best Of” Lists, including CN Travelers “21 Best Restaurants,” Eater’s “10 Destination-Worthy Austin Hotel Restaurants,” and Infatuation’s “Best Steakhouses in Austin.” Brought to you by the folks who gave Bat City the popular upscale Southern eatery Olamaie, Maie Day is turning out diner-delighting dishes from Chef Gregory Martinez that include favorites like Caesar salad, grilled oysters, chicken fried steak, prime rib, whole butterflied and grilled fish, and a killer white chocolate cheesecake or three-layer Texas chocolate cake. You’ll love the whole look of the place, with its open, spacious dining room and bright colors. “With playful takes on a classic steakhouse menu, highlights include rib eye, a butcher’s steak, and a plethora of hearty sides,” raves CultureMap Austin, so naturally, we are salivating right now. See you there!
