Milton's
5-Course Avant-American Trattoria Tasting Event
Opened just this past September, this Italian trattoria in Rice Village jumped right onto Eater’s “Hottest in Houston” List and Infatuation’s “Hit List.” Milton’s is the brainchild of Seth Siegel-Gardner, culinary director of Local Foods, as well as Local Foods restaurant veteran owner Benjy Levit, who share an influential paternal figure named Milton. They also share a love of pasta, and Executive Chef Kent Domas, a veteran of such Houston mainstays as The Classic, Alice Blue, and Bernadine’s, is realizing their vision with such dishes as 100-layer lasagna with duck confit and foie gras, lobster and scallop ravioli, eggplant, chicken or veal parmesan, and non-pasta dishes like branzino and steak Florentine. Wonderful starters too, like octopus carpaccio, burrata & truffles, and parsley salad. “Make any excuse you can to go to Milton’s,” raves Infatuation, but with food that everyone loves done to a fine turn, who needs an excuse?
About the Host:
Kent Domas
Executive Chef
Chef Kent Domas honed his craft at Houston favorites such as The Classic, Alice Blue, and Bernadine's. At Milton's, he takes a playful approach to contemporary French cuisine, focusing on harnessing the power of their wood-burning Josper Equipos Brasa oven as well as the local fresh seafood sourced from less than a mile away.
