Nardone Pasta Co.

5-Course Playful Italian Tasting Event

After years spent cooking at some of Boston’s favorite restaurants, including Sportello and Craigie on Main under, respectively, top chefs Barbara Lynch and Tony Maws, James Nardone, Executive Chef/Owner of Nardone Pasta Co. (a.k.a. N.P.C.) moved to Philadelphia in 2017 and rolled out his pasta pop-up operation in 2020. Philly Magazine immediately named N.P.C. “Best Pasta Pop-Up” on its Best of Philly list, lauding its hand-rolled trofie pasta salad with gochujang and smoked celery and fusilli tossed with broccolini and preserved lemon. Chef Nardone takes traditional Italian flavors and turns them on their heads. Pulling inspiration from coastal bites and inner city street food, he is always pushing the boundaries on what is considered acceptable Italian. (Hence, the gochujang.) Of course, breaking the rules can lead to dazzling innovation. We’re excited to visit with Chef Nardone and hear his take on all things Italian. Bring your appetites and your questions!
