No. 246
5-Course Ode to Old School Italian Tasting Event
Initially opened in 2011 and reimagined in 2021, this Decatur gem has appeared on many “Best Of” lists over the years, from Atlanta Mag's “50 Best Restaurants of 2018” to Thrillist’s “Best Italian in Atlanta in 2022” to Eater’s “Best in Decatur” List of 2023. When it opened, it was conceived as a “Cal-Ital” inspired restaurant, but its reimagining ten years later took it toward a classic, red sauce Italian eatery. Tony Soprano would have been at home here with the spicy rigatoni vodka, calamari marinara, chicken al limone, shrimp scampi, bistecca alla Fiorentina, sizzling flounder piccata, and fried house-made mozzarella and cheesy garlic bread al forno for the table. Luscious tiramisu, gelati, and sorbetto for dessert too. “An immensely likable spot,” says Atlanta Journal-Constitution, but, seriously, how can you not like this kind of food, especially when it’s done to such a fine turn?
