Day 3: 5-Course Avant-American Tasting Series
First opened in 2018 in Ladd’s Addition, this popular eatery (which took the place of the equally popular Castagna) was named to Oregonian’s List of “Portland’s 40 Best Restaurants” and Condé Nast Traveler's List of the “21 Best Restaurants in the City of Roses", in addition to nabbing 2023 and 2024 James Beard Semi-Finalist nods for "Outstanding Wine and Other Beverages". Executive Chef Sergei Stucolov, who featured on Netflix's Pressure Cooker and previously cooked for top Santa Barbara restaurants The Lark and Loquita, has turned OK Omens into a destination with an inventive menu that features items like warm beignets with cheddar and honey granules, fried chicken bites with Thai basil, radish, green Szechuan peppercorns, and sour cream, the famous torito salad of romaine, corn nuts, creamy cilantro dressing, and crumbled cojita, and entrees like zaatar-crusted albacore tuna, slow cooked pork with escarole and green goddess dressing, and maybe the world’s best cheeseburger with smoked beef fat remoulade (yes, you read that right). “It’s a winner, with great seasonal small plates,” says CN Traveler, and we are over-the-top excited to visit here!

Originally from Boston, MA, Chef Justin Woodward graduated from the Art Institute of California, San Diego. A former pastry chef at NYC's legendary wd~50, he staged at Michelin-Starred René Redzepi’s Noma in Copenhagen and Andoni Luis Aduriz’s Mugaritz in Spain before moving to PDX, where he joined Castagna as Executive Chef. He is a 7-Time James Beard Award Nominee.

- Yes. All attendees must be 21+ to gain entry.
- Does this restaurant allow BYOB?
- No. This restaurant is a non-BYO establishment. Outside alcohol will not be permitted at this event.
- What is the event ticket cancellation/refund policy?
- Restaurants purchase the food for our events 14 days before the event date, at which point we are on the hook for the cost of your ticket. As such, we are not able to offer refunds (or credits towards future events) for any cancellation requests submitted within 14 days of the event date. We will, however, issue full refunds for all cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to support@tastingcollective.com.
- Can I bring guests who are not members to this event?
- Yep! Members are able to purchase up to 3 guest tickets to this event (based on availability). However, guest tickets are $20 more than member tickets ($85 + tax/tip), and guests will not be allowed entry to the event unless they're accompanied by a member.
