5-Course Farm-to-Fork Tasting Event

This charmingly rustic salvaged wood retreat, just blocks from Ocean Beach in the Sunset District, reopened in October of 2022. That was reason to celebrate in the neighborhood, as Eater had named Outerlands to its List of “38 Essential San Francisco Restaurants” and it's most recently the proud recipient of a Michelin Bib Gourmand Award. Noted for baking some of the best bread in the city, such as its crusty, mahogany-hued levain, Outerlands offers a seasonal menu that features the freshest ingredients served in a simple, hearty style that allows their quality to shine, whether it's potato and leek soup, chicken liver mousse, little gem salad, roasted chicken with market vegetables, or a slow-cooked pork ragu bolognese with springy tagliatelle. Blissful desserts too, like polenta cake with brandied poached pear or dark chocolate buckwheat pudding with tahini mousse. “Excellent food,” says Infatuation, and a setting that feels like “the inside of a boat, with its weathered wood planks and curved walls.” Ship ahoy!
