Pastore
5-Course Elevated Coastal Italian Tasting Event
Opened just shy of a year ago, this Regent Square eatery that focuses on the gifts of the sea immediately vaulted onto such lists as Eater’s “Houston’s Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings” List, CultureMap’s “Best New Restaurants” List, and Texas Monthly’s “Where to Eat Now” List. Culinary Director Scott Muns, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America who cooked at the Michelin-starred Pineapple and Pearls in DC prior to joining Houston’s Underbelly Kitchen in 2023, has helped hosting Sous Chef Haileigh Houston craft a seasonal Italian coastal cuisine menu that is curated to a variety of palates. Here, diners find established favorites like semolina-crusted calamari, cacio e pepe, and chicken piccata, as well as new, sure-to-be favorites like crispy anchovies and sage, crab bucatini, and brazino puttanesca. Save room too for luscious desserts like olive oil cupcake with goat cheese and rosemary frosting and vanilla panna cotta with glazed figs. And it’s all served up in an environment of exposed white ceilings, a floral mural, and a color palette composed of soft hues of green, blue, and gray. “A seafood lover’s dream,” lauds Thrillist. “Every bite dazzles.” ‘Nuff said! We look forward to experiencing Pastore with you.
