Roxanne
Day 2: 5-Course Palate-Bending Pleasures Tasting Series
Now, this is exciting! We are getting a sneak peek at the new digs for Roxanne, which, when it originally opened in 2022, was named to Esquire’s “Best New in America” List and Thrillist’s “Best New Philly Restaurants” List. The new location is Headhouse Square, and it is here that Chef/Owner Alexandra Holt will be working her magic. Chef Holt, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, has an impressive resume. She trained at Michelin-Starred restaurants in throughout Euripe, while also staging and spending time in kitchens in similarly Michelin-Starred spots in Chicago (such as 3-Starred Alinea) and beyond. A chef who refutes the notion that fine dining has to be oh-so-serious to matter, she has fun with food. Imagine a foie gras mille-feuille with preserved sea buckthorn and pistachio cream. Or how about a potato sundae, a cheese cloud, or a giant gummy bear for dessert? One never knows with Chef Holt… and one never loses out. We are mega-excited to be among the first to visit the new, improved Roxanne. See you there!
