Rwby

Day 1: 5-Course Avant-American Tasting Series

Opened this past October, this Mediterranean Midtown eatery with brasserie and trattoria influences jumped right onto two 2024 “Best Of” Lists: Eater’s “Hottest in Atlanta” and Infatuation’s “Hit List.” Owners Darren Carr and Eric Simpkins (of the very popular Bon Ton and The Waiting Room) shuttered their also-popular The Lawrence after ten fine years and reconstituted it as Rwby (pronounced “Ruby”). In a colorful environment awash with pinks, yellows, and greens, Chef Murad Ghashim, who worked at Ecco, Zakia, and The White Bull, and has a Middle Eastern/Native American background, is turning out distinctive fare like pickled fennel and halloumi, seven-spice chicken with orange curry, smoked honey, and glazed carrots, and roasted salmon with chickpea ragu and pomegranate molasses. “One of the most striking things about Rwby is how fresh and new it feels,” says Atlanta Journal-Constitution. We can’t wait to discover it and will hope to see you there!
