Swift's Attic

5-Course Avant-American Tasting Event

A veteran of the Austin restaurant scene - it opened back in 2012, after all - this one-of-a-kind upstairs eatery sits in an historic building on Congress Avenue, and was once the home of Swift’s Premium Food Co. It has been named to Austin-American Statesman’s “Top 25 Best Restaurants” List, to Thrillist’s “Best ATX Restaurants” List, and was an Austin Chronicle "First Plates" Award-Winner (as well an Eater Award-Winner.) Creative, whimsical, and delicious are the buzzwords here, as Executive Chef Edgar Cuspinera marries New American and Korean cuisines to offer signature dishes like charred edamame with pop rocks and chili oil, tiger apricots wrapped in bacon with chipotle honey and mascarpone, fried brussels sprouts with nuoc cham, pickled onions, golden raisins, and almonds, braised pork cheeks with crispy rice cakes and Szechuan peppercorn sauce, and so much more. Austin American-Statesman critic Matthew Odam lauded the inventive cooking, saying that “everything that leaves the kitchen yields dishes that…makes me reconsider what I think I know.” Prepare to be surprised and delighted!
