The Charlotte
5-Course Nouveau Southern Tasting Event
Opened this past September, this Henderson Avenue bistro jumped right onto Paper City Magazine’s list of “5 Best New in Dallas” and CultureMap’s “10 Best New Restaurants” list. Culinary Director Wyl Lima, born in Angola, came to Texas as a child. He made a name for himself in the restaurant world, serving as Executive Chef at the Mediterranean restaurant Sister, which, under his direction, landed on New York Times’ 2022 list of “Best Restaurants in America,” and then at Le Margot in Fort Worth, which Texas Monthly named one of the state’s best new restaurants of 2024. His menu at The Charlotte offers a fresh twist on American dishes infused with global flavors and locally sourced ingredients. That means Biryani-spiced chicken wings, crab fingers with Cajun sauce, spaghetti & catfish, crispy duck with burnt-orange harissa sauce, and more. Plus, you’ll love the mint-and-peach decor, and guess what? Massive and peripatetic teddy bears are the restaurant’s mascots, so be prepared for surprises beyond the food space. “The Charlotte’s menu has something for everyone [with] dishes that are at the same time familiar and exploratory,” says the Dallas Observer. Hope to see you there!
