5-Course Farm-to-Fork Tasting Event
Opened in December, 2021, in the Bishop Arts District, this sleek eatery was named “Best New Restaurant of 2022” by Eater, which also gave it a place of honor on its 2023 List of “38 Essential Dallas Restaurants.” The operative word here is “seasons,” for the focus is on the freshest and most seasonal produce around. Husband-and-wife Dennis Kelley and Melody Bishop were both named Tastemaker Rising Star Chefs in 2015 after earning a following at top restaurants like Lark in the Park and Up on Knox. At Written by the Seasons, their menu includes small plates like stone fruit, arugula, burrata, and marcona almonds, salt cod brandade fritters with pistou, labneh, and blistered okra, and miso pork ribs with plum glaze, while the entrees include branzino with braised fennel and quinoa, duck confit with shell beans, bacon, and kale, and a killer seafood stew. For dessert, you might find a dragonfruit-pear upside-down cake or a coconut-turmeric deconstructed pie. “An airy, casually elegant spot…everything was simply and beautifully prepared and presented,” raves Texas Monthly. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind, and we are so excited to visit here!
