XIXA in New York

Our Christmakwanzakkah Party Series at XIXA was yet another reminder of why we returning to the warm embrace of Executive Chef/Owner Jason Marcus.  Chef Marcus and the whole XIXA crew totally wowed the 160+ attendees that came out over the course of this two-night series! Those who attended got to experience a special menu of 16 dishes (some served as passed canapés, and others as part of a sit-down large format feast — as always, originality and surprise were all over the menu. Below are the top three courses from the sit-down portion of the evening as rated by attendees on their feedback cards:

 

1st Place:  Gingerbread Tres Leches Cake - with whipped cream cheese frosting

2nd Place: Confit Short Rib - with green pumpkinseed mole, pickled celery, and pear-tomatillo pico

3rd Place: Smoked Pork Belly - with black mole bbq, curried pickled carrot, and tomato-strawberry pico
