High Street on Hudson in New York

Expectations were sky-high for our first collaboration with High Street on Hudson, given the runaway success of our event series last year at the restaurant's big sister, High Street on Market, in Philly. To be frank, things got off to a bit of a bumpy start, as we were informed shortly before the first event that Exec Chef Mary Attea would not be able to serve as our host for the series due to a family emergency. Luckily, the restaurant's renowned owner, Ellen Yin (who also owns several of Philly's most beloved restaurants in High Street on Market and Fork), stepped up to the plate and came in from Philly to serve as our host for the series. This was a super exciting surprise for us, as it's not every day that a 2019 James Beard "Outstanding Restauranteur" FINALIST serves as host at a TC event series! As expected, she was a truly fantastic host and filled the events with loads of passionate stories. Oh, and the food was incredible! Speaking of which, below are the top three courses, as rated by attendees on their feedback cards:

 

1st Place: Skillet Chicken - with crispy drippings bread, fennel, and rosemary


2nd Place: King Crab Toast - with shiso, radish, and brown butter


3rd Place: Chocolate Budino - with miso caramel sauce
