Haymaker in Charlotte

After our incredible events at The Asbury and The Goodyear House, it was a given that we'd be following Chef Chris Coleman to his new home at Haymaker. But, while our expectations were sky-high, we still can't believe the night we had at this Charlotte Magazine and Southern Living culinary darling. The eats were delectable, the stories from Chef Coleman were divine, and, if we do say so ourselves, the memories made will last us a lifetime. (Or, at least, they'll tide us over until our next show-stopping collab with him and his team!) 1st Place: Virginia Oysters Rockefeller Hot Dish with creamed collards, bacon, crispy saltines, lemon, and house hot sauce​

 

2nd Place: Beef "Wellington" with cornmeal-crusted tenderloin, duxelles, whipped yukon gold potato, romanesco broccoli, and bordelaise

 

3rd Place: Pan-Roasted NC Catfish with hoppin' john and tomato brodo
